Comment: Our kitchen is small and plain. The cabinets and drawers are made of a soft wood that easily splinters & breaks – cabinet doors and drawer facings have actually broken off. We believe refacing will not suffice. We could settle for prefabricated cabinetry – doesn’t have to be custom. In the same vein, we are fine with plain counters, floor, and lighting – we would want simple things in warm colors, very plain. Aiming for a cozy, unassuming kitchen. We would be looking to replace the stove only, not refrigerator or dish washer. A garbage disposal is not necessary. Our budget is $30,000.
